I'm grateful for my LOL moment this morning.
I'm driving in Long Beach to the FP Merrick class and at a red light I turn my head and read the sticker on the window... "got siberian husky?" with the husky staring right at me... Just perfect. :D Great way to start the day.
I'm grateful I stumbled on some powerful Feng Shui.
I stopped at my favorite Chinese take-out restaurant, King Wok, on my way home tonight. On the counter was this statue which caught my eye since I admire turtles and dragons... I figured the statue was symbolic, so I Googled it and discovered that the meaning of the Turtle Dragon on the money sends the Feng Shui message of Long Life... Prosperity... and Attracting Support, Wealth, and Good Luck. Well then... a nice thing to stumble upon today.
I'm grateful that a week has passed.
Time... everything takes time.
I'm grateful for pretty snow.
And very grateful for no accumulation... It was nice to walk Koda as the snow was falling this evening.
I'm grateful that Dr. Camay treated Koda's mangled dewclaw today.

Since I was on a day shift, I had to take the day off... with this unexpected time on my hands... I finally got the coat rack and the swan weathervane up on the wall... yeah!
Now, what is funny is that I bought the pretty coat rack for $30 instead of the functional one for $10... um... a feel rather foolish since one cannot see the pretty coat rack at all, it is covered with coats and jackets... duh! and yes... I left a little bit visible so I can justify the extra expense.
The swan weathervane is one of the few items that has followed me after the divorce... it was purchased on Cape Cod at a weathervane shop on Route 6A... I don't think the shop is there anymore, the owner, a lovely woman, passed many years ago... I can't remember her name, but I remember her smile and enthusiasm. She loved weathervanes, especially antique ones... I hope she is in a good place where ever she is... I'm grateful for this nice memory...
I'm grateful that Mom's post-op visit with Dr. Dzenis went well and all is thumbs up.
A doctors waiting room is one of the most perfect places to practice patience. We were there for 4.5 hours... It was interesting to listen to others complaining about the very long wait. They made themselves more and more agitated as they banded together to complain. My Mom and I were patient and so was another very lovely woman, Maria...
Maria was sitting opposite us and when we arrived, the sun was shining... many of us were still there after the sun set and Maria pointed out to us when the moon started to rise... My Mom and I really like the big full moon when it is in the sky... so does Maria :D
We probably will never see Maria again... yet we formed a connection and with a few hours chatting, time seemed to pass quicker for us. I'm grateful we had a joyful experience.
I'm grateful for my Nephew John's surprise visit this weekend!
John was concerned about his Grandma and requested leave from the Coast Guard this weekend... luckliy, it was approved and he flew in from California for the weekend. He surprised everyone (except me and his Dad... we knew the secret.)
My Mom was so very happy to see John and he helped her do her PT exercises today. We all hung out and then ordered Chinese food for dinner.
I brought a bunch of yellow tulips for my Mom to enjoy.
Thank you John for making your Grandma's weekend wonderful. Your thoughful actions really boosted her spirits and healing energy.
I'm grateful for the real world, the dream world, and the in-between where they meet.
OK, so, this small artificial red apple appears in my flower container on the patio by the front door. Huh? All I can think of is "Once Upon A Time"... the ABC show I have been watching. Is the apple poison? Temptation? A sign to go buy an iPad?
I'm curious???
I'm grateful to have spent some time with my BFF Carol... it's been ages!
